IMAA COMMITTEE SHIFTS FOCUS TO PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT In August, the IMAA Sales and Marketing Committee met to discuss a shift of focus for the committee. Both committee chair Kris Luce and Calvin Lee agreed that the committee has had a successful track record of professional development sessions at the Winter Workshops and networking events. However, the focus of the committee solely on industry sales professionals was too narrow. The committee decided to continue putting together meaningful programs, both for networking and also for professional education, but broaden the target to any industry professional looking to expand their career. They also officially changed the committee name to the Professional Development Committee (or PDC).
The PDC is planning quarterly educational and networking opportunities for 2019. The first meeting will be held on March 7th and will focus on learning about the legislative process. The afternoon meeting will also include a tour of the Indiana Statehouse with attendees invited for casual networking after the event.
