YEAR IN REVIEW - WISHING ROBERT JONES A HAPPY RETIREMENT |
|
WISHING ROBERT JONES A HAPPY RETIREMENT IMAA said farewell to Robert Jones in October, wishing him many happy years in retirement after his leadership as IMAA Executive Director. Robert became IMAA’s Executive Director in 2002 following a 25-year career at Rogers Group, Inc. Prior to joining the IMAA staff, Robert also served on committees at the association representing Rogers Group, and is a Past President of IMAA. He was very active on a national level as well, receiving the 2011 State Association Executive of the Year Award from the National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association. Some of Robert’s achievements at the association include keeping the association financially secure and establishing an association investment policy, being the founding President of IMAA’s non-profit scholarship organization—the Indiana Mining and Mineral Education Program (IMMEP), and fostering strong relationships between IMAA members and other organizations that affect the aggregates industry such as MSHA, just to name a few. Robert will be enjoying his retirement traveling, having already marked off a bucket-list item to visit Africa, spending time with his family which includes 5 grandkids, and of course, golfing. Robert is a very valued member of the IMAA family, and we wish him all the best! If you would like to catch up with Robert, please reach out to the IMAA office for his updated contact information.
